Steely Dan is a musical phenomenon. Founded in 1971 by composers Donald Fagen (keyboards/vox) and Walter Becker (bass/guitars) they were ranked #15 in the Rolling Stone 'top duos of all time'. Their repertoire blends elements of rock, jazz, latin, R&B and blues with sophisticated studio production and featured the top recording musicians in the world including guitarist Larry Carlton, saxophonist Wayne Shorter and drummers Steve Gadd and Bernard Purdie. Guitarist Larry Roy considers himself a lifelong student of the music of Steely Dan, and has carefully created the unique arrangements of many of Steely Dan's greatest hits.
