Self described as “serious musicians who don’t take themselves too seriously,” Madeline and Caitlin combine their infectious enthusiasm and unstuffy approach with sensitive and masterful playing, all with the goal of inspiring audiences and bringing joy through music.

Caitlin Broms-Jacobs | Oboe

Renowned for her “gorgeous singing tone” and “sensitive musicality”, (Winnipeg Free Press) Canadian oboist Caitlin Broms-Jacobs leads a multifaceted career as a soloist, orchestral, and chamber musician. She is the principal oboist of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, a position she has held since 2009. A dedicated soloist and chamber musician, she premiered Prayer in a Green Cathedral by Kevin Lau in 2022, composed especially for her. Her performances have been featured in the MCO’s 2021 livestream concert series, including a well-received arrangement of Bach’s Goldberg Variations. She has performed with the Toronto Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, National Ballet Orchestra, and more. Caitlin studied at Eastman and co-founded Toronto’s Liberty Village New Artist Series. She previously held the principal chair in Saskatoon.

Madeline Hildebrand | Piano

Madeline Hildebrand is praised for her 'instinctive understanding of beautiful sound' by Jon Kimura Parker, and has earned the admiration of composers like Joan Tower, who called her performance of Petroushskates “one of the BEST performances of that piece I've heard!" She has performed with Philip Glass (Winnipeg New Music Festival), Kronos Quartet (Mass MoCA), and Yarn/Wire (DiMenna Center, NYC), and was featured in Music Toronto’s COSE series. A winner of the McLellan and Eckhardt-Gramatté competitions, she debuted with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. She appears on T. Patrick Carrabré’s award-winning album 100,000 Lakes and was spotlighted at the Banff Centre’s Evolution: Classical. Madeline holds a DMA from Stony Brook University and teaches at Brandon and Canadian Mennonite University.
