Explore the forests of the Bow Valley in new ways as we delve into a paint night that not only results in a beautiful painting, but also a deeper connection with nature.

Not just an ordinary paint night - this workshop will explore a specific plant species local to the Bow Valley in as much detail as possible.

We will start with a special guest speaker from The Biosphere Institute who will describe the importance of the highlighted plant based on where and how it grows, and what connections it has to other plants, fungi and animal species. Artist Julia Knowlden will then lead participants through a step-by-step process to create a painting of the plant by looking at its unique properties through texture, colour and shape. Beginners welcome!
