Ralph Temple

Ralph Temple has a long history of artistry in the Bow Valley.

Ralph came to Canmore to take a position at the Walter Phillips Gallery in 1981. By 1983, he was elected a member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, and exhibited regularly in Canmore and further afield. Ralph was a member of the Bow Valley Olympic Arts Festival Working Committee, and organized the visual Arts portion of that festival in Canmore. His artwork has been collected far and wide, including Peter Lougheed's personal collection, and also produced several public murals in Deadman's Flats, Lawrence Grassi School, Banff Elementary School and High School and Tunnel Mountain Chalets in Banff. Ralph owned and ran a picture framing business in Banff, as well as instructing art locally and in Calgary. Currently working on more sculptural pieces, Ralph plans to exhibit at some time in the near future.
