Michael Foyle and Akiko Tominaga

Trio St. Laurent: Acoustic Poetry – clarinet, viola and piano

Friday, February 7 – 7:30 pm ($30/ Members $25.50)

Trio Saint-Laurent brings together three of Canada’s most respected chamber musicians—clarinetist Jean-François Normand, violist Marina Thibeault, and pianist Philip Chiu, in a unique and compelling chamber formation. The trio’s programs have been curated to highlight the poetic, intimate, and mysterious nature of their instruments—in solo, duo, and trio form—to deliver a varied and engaging experience.


Luminous Voices: The Tudors

Saturday, February 22 – 7:30 pm ($25/ Members $21.25)

Calgary’s renowned professional choir performs a program exploring the Tudor Period, featuring works by the English Renaissance masters Tallis, Byrd and Sheppard as well as two world premieres by composers Carmen Braden and Zachary Wadsworth, both providing a modern reflection on the Tudor music.


VC2: Beethoven’s Cellists 

Tuesday, March 17 – 7:30 pm ($25/ Members $21.25)

An innovative cello duo that captivates audiences in their performance of classical masterworks, unknown gems and boundary-pushing music. Beethoven’s five sonatas are at the core of the cello repertoire and serve as the springboard for this program—historic and new compositions—with ties to the great composer.


Canada’s Rising Stars 2020

Canmore Pianist, Susanne Ruberg-Gordon returns with another edition of her Rising Stars showcase introducing the Bow Valley to Canada’s best young classical talent.


Calgary Opera Emerging Artists in concert

Calgary Opera returns to artsPlace by popular demand with another concert featuring the rising young opera stars from their Emerging Artist program, featuring popular arias and ensembles and hidden gems from the operatic repertoire.


Meagan&Amy: Road Trip! A Pan Canadian Partnership

Thursday, May 14 – 7:30 pm ($25/ Members $21.25)

Selected the winner for a Pan-Canadian tour, pianist Meagan Milatz and violinist Amy Hillis, will share with audiences across Canada a unique program that reflects their Saskatchewan origins, their Montreal studies, their international musical experiences, and connect them with music that has inspired them along the way - pairing works by the celebrated European masters with works by composers across Canada.
