Bring natural wonders to life on paper! In this course you will learn how to draw landscapes and nature objects accurately, and how to create layers and texture with watercolours. The skills learned in this course are a perfect companion for anyone who likes to wander outdoors. You will be itching to paint everything you see! Suitable for beginners.

Online format: Online courses will be delivered in a Zoom Meeting. A meeting link and password will be emailed to you in advance of the start of the sessions. Please download the Zoom Application from https://zoom.us/
Materials: Creative Kits* will be available for this course at an additional cost of $35 and are available for pick-up at artsPlace. Creative Kits are ready for pick up! Stop by artsPlace Mon-Fri between 3-7 pm to pick up your purchased kit before the course starts.
*You can choose to purchase an entire kit or you can also opt not to purchase one if you have your own supplies.
What you will receive in the Creative Kit (or what you need from your own supplies)
- Sketchbook with multi-purpose drawing paper (min 8.5" x 11")
- Non-photo blue pencil**
- 2H Pencil
- Assorted Watercolour paint brushes including a medium round and a medium flat brush (set of 10 brushes included in Creative Kit)
- Portable paint palette box with lid
- Watercolour paints (set of 12 watercolour tubes included in Creative Kit)
**Lighter than standard blue, non-photo blue is designed for reduced detection by cameras and copiers
Non-repro blue color eliminates the need to erase before inking – ideal for print catalog artists and drawing sketch lines
Erasable color makes it easy to make changes on the fly.
