Learn the basics of stained glass: how to select glass, design patterns, prepare and lay out your work, cut, shape and grind glass, and assemble your project using copper foiling and soldering techniques. Participants will leave with a basic understanding of the stained-glass process and a finished panel (approx. 9”x 9”). Beginners welcome!

Earl Takahashi

Earl Takahashi is a master of fitting pieces into place. As a full-time paramedic in Stoney Nakoda, a casual firefighter in Canmore, a stained glass instructor at artsPlace, and a husband to Becky and dad to their son Ellis, he knows how to solder together a schedule. Not to mention the skiing, climbing, and fly-fishing.

Experiencing the arts is a right regardless of financial means. Learn about the Discover Art Access Program here.
