Libby Pryor

Libby Amber Pryor is a self-taught artist; spending time in the backcountry as a child, a sketchbook and paint were usually in hand. Libby continues to explore outdoors, forging a connection to, and an understanding of the natural world. These moments inspire work which is grounded in nature, urging others to experience, and respect our natural spaces. Libby uses watercolors and acrylics to render the natural world; in 2020 she gained her certificate in Natural History Illustration while staying on an off-grid island in the Broughton Archipelago.

Libby began teaching at artsPlace in the summer of 2019 and has since enjoyed sharing her joy of painting and crafting with others. Libby especially loves to share her passion of using the arts to connect to the outdoors.

Experiencing the arts is a right regardless of financial means. Learn about the Discover Art Access Program here.
