Virginia Ann Hemingson Art Gallery
Artist and designer featuring paintings, handmade birch bark gift cards, art prints, her designer handbags, handmade primitive rugs, and "Spring Song" products at Virginia Ann Hemingson Art Gallery in Spring Creek Mountain Village in the heart of Canmore. Every winter, Virginia arranges for vacation painting retreats at her family owned pacific beachfront resort in Mexico. The gallery offers yearly Primitive Rug Hooking Workshops each fall and hosts the Folk N Fibre Rug Hooking Club. A beautiful Heintzman concert grand piano in the gallery is a centre piece for concerts, piano lessons and art openings. The Atrium at the Canmore Civic Centre is available to rent for registrations, open houses and other select special events. For certain functions, the interior street at the Civic Centre can also be utilized. Please note that a facility monitor is applied to the applicable rental fee. Available 5pm – 10 pm weekdays, and 8am - 10pm weekends.
Canmore Miner’s Union Hall
Historic community centre built in 1910 is home to "The Pine Tree Players", "artsPeak" and the "Live on 7th" concert series. Available for all types of community events - dances, concerts, theatrical presentations, banquets, weddings, receptions and meetings. Up to 150 capacity.
