Herb Pots with Red Clay!

Make a pot for your spring herbs using rich, red-coloured clay. Try something new in our studio through the guidance of one of our experienced pottery instructors. Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to take part! Beginners will be led through the processes of pinching and coiling while everyone will have the opportunity to create something outstandingly unique. This is your chance to work with a new material as we bring this special clay into our studio for one day only!
Pieces will be glazed and fired, meaning within 2-3 weeks of the workshop your pot will be ready for pick up. Just in time to plant some delicious herbs that will last you throughout the summer!
Drop-in // 10AM-1PM // Families with children of all ages // Admission by donation ($10 suggested) // Other activities 1PM-6PM
Get your hands squishing and kneading as we turn simple ingredients into a magical material! Drop in with your family and discover this cool substance that is part slime, part clay, part fluff and 100% fun! Participants are welcome to take their slime-clay home with them.
WHY AN ARTSPLACE FUNDRAISER?
Did you know that artsPlace is a registered charity, operating independently from the Town of Canmore? We offer a wide range of free and subsidized programming – classes, workshops, family activities, community events, festivals, exhibitions, films, and performances – and fees cover a mere 41% of the cost of our programs. To continue to offer quality programming at an affordable cost, we rely on the generosity of our community to support our work.
