How come we have cutlery? – Ding! – We´re suddenly at Napoleon's court and get to witness the invention of knife and fork. Who was Captain Redbeard? Ding! – Turns out he wasn´t a man at all!
For 50 minutes, past and present are sewn together in a story that can be both heartfelt, very funny, and completely crazy!

SATURDAY JUNE 23 (2 shows)
7:00 pm - 7:50 pm: Raison d'Etre $15
It is just an ordinary day when suddenly you remember that moment again... That face, their words, those eyes, the smell, their lips, your lips. Sorry, what were you saying? In the duo show Raison d'être we see our main character stuck between two times. The present and the past. In their day-to-day life a memory of old love that keeps crawling back. Using strong character work, physicality, music and movement the story of this past love unfolds in front of the audience's eyes. Who is she? Who is he? Who are they now? Even when love belongs to the past, it is still a present.

SATURDAY JUNE 23 (2 workshops)
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Your own cast of 1000s with Gael Perry (France)
There are many ways to work on character creation. You can learn how to maintain your body, how to walk with a cane, how to feel like fire, or one of many other tricks. But what you need to BE somebody different is to FEEL like someone else. This is a workshop about creating many characters (a thousand and more) from nothing, without thinking, and unplugging your brain to be transported by the moment. Using funny exercises and musical inspired scenes, you will learn to create a different body, which will be at the same time natural and surprising for yourself.
3 pm - 5 pm: Improv for Teens: Heart Surgery For Dummies with Laura Doornerweerd (Amsterdam)
In this workshop you will learn how to bluff every profession. I will teach you the jargon of the mail sorter, the instruments of a surgeon or the technique of a sniper. All this will no longer be a secret for you. In this workshop we focus on the language, the moves and the attitude of at least 10 different professions. Very useful for on stage! An additional advantage: you will improve you firm conviction while improvising and how to smoothly combine moving and acting.
SUNDAY JUNE 24 (3 workshops)
10:00 am-12:00 pm: Improv for Kids! with Anyssa Mckee (Calgary)
All you need on a stage to create magic is your body and the space. They are your best friends and they can be anything. In this workshops we will use the basic principles of dance, viewpoints and physical theatre to improve your improv skills.
10:00 am-12:00 pm: Musical Improv w/ the cast of Showstopper! The Improvised Musical
Learn the art of musical improv with this Olivier award winning cast of musical improv experts all the way from London England!
2:30 pm-4:30 pm: Moving For Dummies with Laura Doornerweerd (Amsterdam)
The workshop goes more in-depth on physical theatre: moving, trusting your body, ensemble work and building the environment. A wonderful way to get out of your head, into your body and connected with your fellow improvisers. But most importantly: play great scenes.
