Combine your hand-building and wheel throwing skills to create a colander with a handle!

You will be guided through a step-by-step process to design and create your colander, and you'll be able to choose your own glaze for firing. Suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced potters.

Meet the Artist

Ciara Linteau

Ciara graduated with a BFA from the Alberta College of Art and Design, now Alberta University of the Arts. She taught community ceramic classes while participating in a Visual Arts Self Directed Residency at the Banff Centre from 2008–2016. She has worked fulltime at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies in various capacities since 2009. After taking a four-year break from teaching ceramics, Ciara is happy to be teaching at artsPlace since 2020.
