Kaimerata

Internationally acclaimed soloist and chamber musician Kai Gleusteen is the founder of Kaimerata Concerts, created in response to a personal need to share his passion for chamber music with the residents of Barcelona where he is based. Each season offers a series of performances of masterpieces of a specific composer, allowing the audience to gently acquaint themselves and deepen their understanding of the composer and his entourage. This season’s focus is Robert Schuman.

Stéphane Tétreault & Marie-Ève Scarfone

When Stéphane Tétreault and Marie-Ève Scarfone take the stage together, vigour and tenderness unite in an expressive performance which lends renewed sincerity to the works of Haydn, Schubert & Brahms. This cello and piano pairing establishes a spellbinding atmosphere sure to captivate every listener.

Mathieu-Chua Duo

Mathieu-Chua Duo comprises Canadian violinist Véronique Mathieu and pianist Stephanie Chua, celebrated for their dramatic sense of expression, balance and poise. They are dynamic and compelling artists who champion contemporary music of emerging composers alongside those that are internationally established, as well as relish in re-introducing the works of forgotten composers of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods to a new audience.

Bow Valley residents Nan Hughes Poole, Susanne Ruberg-Gordon, and Beth Root Sandvoss return to artsPlace to present a dynamic concert of musical landscapes of composer’s whose mentors helped to shape the compositional voices we clearly know today.

Roman Rabinovich

Praised by The New York Times for his ‘uncommon sensitivity and feeling’, the eloquent pianist Roman Rabinovich was the winner of the 12th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in 2008. His subsequent career has led him to perform throughout Europe and the USA.

Robert Belinić

Acclaimed classical guitarist and Canmore resident, Robert Belinić won the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York, and is the only guitarist ever chosen for the YCA roster. He is described by the New York Concert Review as playing “with the most intense passion, energy and charisma of any guitarist I have heard.”
