National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrates the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
artsPlace, in partnership with Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, the Town of Canmore and the Town of Banff, is celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day with Creative Kits.
This year, these kits share stories and artwork by Stoney Artist Tyson Crawler and feature a Mini Coloring Book with his artwork! The Creative Kits are meant to help young artists be inspired by a Stoney Nakoda Artist, while understanding the difference between Cultural Appreciation and Cultural Appropriation when practicing their own creativity.
Your creative kit includes art supplies such as:
- A mini colouring book of artwork by Tyson Crawler
- Coloured pencils
- Pencil sharpener
- Watercolour paints with a paintbrush
Please note:
- Creative Kits will be available for pick-up between June 17 and June 30 at artsPlace.
