Each participant will spend about 15 minutes creating a felted soap bar, an artistic and useful item that is like normal soap with added exfoliation.

Felting is a simple process of separating, tangling, and relocking fibers found in items such as yarn or wool. Felting begins through the agitation of the fibers; these fibers are lined with tiny scales which interlock and keep the fibers’ shape. Then the scales are coaxed into separation through heat—warm water or friction—and then gently tangled using various tools.

This craft is simple yet teaches so much about the felt-making process and at the end each participant has a unique, beautiful and functional item.

All ages welcome!  Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Max of 8 participants at a time.
