Canmore Museum and GeoScience Centre
Telling the stories of our mountains and our communities to you, including geology, mining, Bow Valley history. Schools and group programming available on request. Fall/Winter hours: Mon-Fri 12-5pm, Sat and Sun 11am-5pm. Summer: Mon-Tues 12noon to 5pm, Wed-Sun 10am-5pm. Admission- Adults $5.25, Seniors/Students $3.15, children under 7 free, Families $10.50.
Curbside Museum
Curbside Museum is a small and quirky museum tucked in a fence along a public sidewalk in Canmore. Exhibitions explore ideas both large and small, factual or fictional, and range from the whimsical to the serious, with no limits except what fits within the museum itself. We host new exhibits every 7-8 weeks. Free and open every day, all day.
Northwest Mounted Police Barracks
Visit the restored NWMP Barracks that has stood on this site in Canmore since 1893. It was home to Canmore law enforcement until 1929. Heritage garden, gift shop, self-guided tours and children’s activities. Winter Hours: Friday-Monday 1-4pm, Summer Hours: Monday-Tuesday 1-4pm, Wednesday-Sunday 10am-5pm. Admission by donation.
