Gini Dickinson is a multi-disciplinary artist from the UK , having lived in Banff since October 2023. Community is a key inspiration for Gini and she seeks it in every new place.
Having recently completed an MA in Art & Social Practice this learning helps to make every workshop and work of art a thoughtful, deeply creative endeavour. Gini's work includes painting, embroidery, jewellery-making and video performance. She is always open to trying new things which helps when teaching others.
Mountains and nature are a familiar home to Gini and act as one of her greatest inspirations and grounding. While living on the Isle of Jura, Scotland, she helped to form an arts group, SO:AR Island Collective, and hosted many arts events with the community. Living here helped inspire her passion for community which continues today in every new place and new project. As a key way of connecting with people she has been running a thriving business in the UK, Gini Bean. She makes earth-friendly feminist jewellery that empowers you everyday.
