Cultural Learning Circles
On the first Wednesday of every month artsPlace will host a Cultural Learning Circle. These will be led by a diversity of facilitators, from Stoney Nakoda knowledge-keepers to local community members, to experts in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion education. Admission is FREE!
With an understanding of Stoney language comes a deeper understanding and respect of the Stoney people and their core values. Guided by Tribal Historian Buddy Wesley, along with Stoney community member Travis Rider, gain insight into Stoney culture through the lens of the relationships inherent in the Stoney language. We will also learn some basic words and phrases that you can use in future!
artsPlace's Indigenous Connections programs are generously supported by Priscilla and Robert Janes, Ken Hughes, and two anonymous donors.
Online courses will be delivered in a Zoom Meeting. A meeting link and password will be emailed to you in advance of the start of the sessions. Please download the Zoom Application from https://zoom.us/
