The Vic Lewis Band Festival

  November 4, 2017 — November 5, 2017

Program Fee: Free and open to the public!

Thank you to everyone who attended the 20th Anniversary Vic Lewis Band Festival! It was a resounding success!

The Vic, as it is commonly referred to in the Bow Valley, is Alberta’s largest high school band festival, a three-day event which attracts 1,200+ students from across the province. The weekend offers students the chance to work with internationally-renowned guest instructors, to take in exceptional performances, and the opportunity perform.

This year's guest directors included Jovino Santos Neto (Instructor of Piano and Composition - Cornish College of the Arts, three-time Latin Grammy nominee), Dr. Darrin Oehlerking (Professor of Music - University of Saskatchewan), Dr. Matthew Roeder (Director of Bands, Associate Professor of Music - University of Colorado Boulder), and Dr. Nathaniel Wickham (Professor of Music, Trombone and Euphonium - University of Northern Colorado).
