Montreal’s Bellflower blends jazz, alternative, folk, electronica, and orchestral pop with soaring harmonies to deliver an unforgettable and unique musical experience. A collective of eight exceptional musicians assembled around singer-songwriter Em Pompa, Bellflower’s ingenuity and collective indie-alt electro-pop energy is limitless alternating between ambient and high energy, and all driven by poetic lyrics and powerful and organic vocals. The band has released two albums to popular and critical acclaim and performed on festival stages across the country, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival (QC), Festival d’été de Québec (QC), St-Jérôme Folk Festival (QC), Filberg Festival (BC), and Hornby Island Music Fest (BC).
"Friday kicked off with the mesmeric talents of Montreal’s own Bellflower, an eight-person collective that uses any manner of instrument (we counted at least 20 on stage) to weave a tightly-knitted blanket of sound...Bellflower’s vocal harmonies, horn section, and rhythms were in total sync to the degree they earned a standing ovation" - Entertainment Tonight Canada
"Montreal-based band BELLFLOWER made us do a doubletake with their live session video of the song «Baby» - Shot and recorded in a studio, the 8-piece jazz band come together to showcase their talent and musicality which will uplift you to a place you’ve probably never been before." - IX Daily
"Les mélodies sont belles et incarnées, les arrangements vocaux carrément magnifiques et c’est idem pour l’amalgame des claviers, électronique, anches et cuivres. Ne manque pas grand-chose pour que l’on puisse conclure à un cas d’exception.." - La Presse
