Stampede Artist Ranch Project
Each year the Stampede funds a small group of selected contemporary artists to spend a weekend in Longview to experience the western way of life on an authentic working ranch. The artists then create works of art reflecting on ranch life through the expression of their own contemporary styles. The impact of the experience can be quite magical. The completed bodies of work from each of the artists are shown together at the Western Showcase Exhibit in the Artist Ranch Booth throughout the Stampede. We are looking for submissions from contemporary artists for our 2017 retreat which will take place September of 2017.
