Patti began her professional art career in Canmore in 1987. She has since exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions in both community and commercial galleries in Western Canada, and once in Japan. Her work is represented by the Elevation Gallery in Canmore, and in Fernie, BC.
Patti’s artwork is inspired by the love of exploring the natural landscape and the joys of the painting process.
Primarily self-taught, she shares her experience and skills as a seasoned and popular painting instructor. Patti has enjoyed several art residencies, including six time as artist in residence with the Alpine Club of Canada.
When not in the studio or leading classes, Patti enjoys hiking, plein air painting, and learning from other artists.
Patti believes that sharing art making and creativity has lasting benefits for persons and communities. As artsPlace Evening Operations Coordinator she is glad to support programs and events, assist patrons and share the fun.
